Pre-deployment training is just the beginning! Employees will receive additional training on arrival in theatre and at regular intervals throughout their deployment. Qualified DND and SNC-Lavalin PAE personnel will provide the instruction.

All CANCAP personnel will attend Arrival Assistance Group (AAG) briefings that will be conducted by Canadian Forces personnel. In addition, they will receive facilities orientation briefings with a key focus on security. Briefings include but are not limited to:
Description of the camp and any satellite locations
Personal quarters (accommodations, ablutions, dining and recreational facilities)
Camp restrictions on movements and out of bounds areas
Safety areas where personal protective equipment is essential
Purpose of Help Desk/CANCAP Operations Centre/Response Centres and their locations
Emergency drills and assembly areas

Refresher Training is conducted on some aspects of the content that was delivered during PDT. Refresher Training will be conducted once every 6 months so that you will receive it at least once during your contract.
Refresher Training ensures that our employees skills and knowledge in essential aspects of camp life are kept up to date and that you are comfortable responding to an emergency situation.
